NBKIDS! THIS IS WHAT WE DO!

NBKIDS is excited about having the opportunity to minister
to children ages 6 weeks - 5th grade.

The Children's Ministry at New Beginnings Church exists to introduce children to Jesus Christ, develop a relationship with Him, disciple children to live a life that reflects the love of Christ, and to learn how to share their relationship with Christ to others. In short, our purpose is to raise up children to know Christ, grown in Christ, and live like Christ: To Reach Up. Reach In. Reach Out.

03/22 Lesson

NBKIDS parents be sure to join us this Sunday for service. This Sunday in NBKIDS at 9 and 11. Please make sure you talk to your kids about it afterwards! Make sure your kids attend!

New Beginnings Church ABQ 4770 Montgomery Blvd ABQ NM 87109. Below is some info on what we went over and the short video we watched to accompany our lesson. Watch with your kids and partner with us to teach your kids the Bible!

BOTTOM LINE: Because Jesus died and rose again, we can have eternal life!
OBJECTIVE: For kids to understand that Jesus’ death is the reason we can have eternal life.
KEY PASSAGE: Mark 15:6-15, John 19:17-30, Luke 23:39-43: Jesus dies and is buried

IN THE CAR: On the drive home, ask your child what he learned about this week’s lesson:
Today we talked about Jesus’ death and what it means for us. Without the tomb, there
is no resurrection. Because Jesus died and rose again, we can be with him in paradise.

HANGING OUT: Make this week’s lesson real: When you see a cross or another symbol of Easter, take some time to talk about the crucifixion story.

AT DINNER: Here are some great discussion starters:
- Why do you think the religious leaders wanted Jesus dead?
- Why do you think only one disciple was present when Jesus died?
- What do we learn from the story of the thief on the cross?

AT BEDTIME: Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse:
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” - John 15:13 (NIV)

PARENT TIME: What you need to know: Take some time to reflect on the crucifixion story this week. Don’t let the week slip away without taking time to remember what Easter is all about.

03/15 Lesson

NBKIDS parents be sure to join us this Sunday for service. This Sunday in NBKIDS at 9 and 11. Please make sure you talk to your kids about it afterwards! Make sure your kids attend!

New Beginnings Church ABQ 4770 Montgomery Blvd ABQ NM 87109. Below is some info on what we went over and the short video we watched to accompany our lesson. Watch with your kids and partner with us to teach your kids the Bible!

BOTTOM LINE: Jesus came to die for our sins.
OBJECTIVE: - For kids to make an emotional connection to the sacrifice that Jesus made for them, and understand that His death was part of God’s plan.
KEY PASSAGE: - Matthew 16:21-23, John 18:1-14: Jesus is arrested, and the disciples scatter

IN THE CAR:On the drive home, ask your child what he learned about this week’s lesson:Today we read about Jesus’ arrest and betrayal. The disciples couldn’t understand why Jesus allowed himself to be arrested. They didn’t understand that dying was part of God’s plan to save us from our sins.

HANGING OUT: Make this week’s lesson real: Next time you’re watching a movie where a major character makes a sacrifice, take the opportunity to discuss why the storyteller put that into the story. Sacrifice is a recurring theme in movies and stories, and it’s a good reminder that Jesus sacrificed himself so he could give us eternal life.

AT DINNER:Here are some great discussion starters:
- How do you think the disciples felt when Jesus was arrested?
- Why did Jesus have to die?
- How would you explain why Jesus died to someone who had never heard the story?

AT BEDTIME:Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse:- John 15:13 (NIV)“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

PARENT TIME: What you need to know: At this time of year, we all need to be reminded of why Jesus died. His pain and his sacrifice were very real, but they were necessary to save us from our sins. Thank God for sending Jesus, and thank him for his willingness to go so far to save us from sin.

Lesson 03/08

NBKIDS parents be sure to join us this Sunday for service. This Sunday in NBKIDS at 9 and 11. Please make sure you talk to your kids about it afterwards! Make sure your kids attend!

New Beginnings Church ABQ 4770 Montgomery Blvd ABQ NM 87109. Below is some info on what we went over and the short video we watched to accompany our lesson. Watch with your kids and partner with us to teach your kids the Bible!

BOTTOM LINE: Jesus wants us to love others as he loved us.
OBJECTIVE: - Kids will recognize that Jesus wants us to love others the way he loved us.
KEY PASSAGE: John 13:1-5. Jesus washes the disciples’ feet.

IN THE CAR: On the drive home, ask your child what he learned about this week’s lesson:
This week we read about Jesus washing his disciples’ feet, and we discussed how
Jesus wants us to love others. Jesus set an example for us to be servants, humbling
ourselves so that other people will know Jesus loves them.

HANGING OUT: Make this week’s lesson real:
Look for ways to serve people in need while you are out - holding doors, helping with
groceries, little things that most people overlook. Set an example for your kids, and
encourage them to step up and do the same.

AT DINNER: Here are some great discussion starters:
- What do you think the disciples thought when Jesus washed their feet?
- Why do so many people choose to ignore Jesus’ example rather than act like servants?
- Is there something we can do as a family to serve others this Easter season?

AT BEDTIME: Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse:
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” - John 15:13 (NIV)

PARENT TIME: What you need to know: The disciples learned from Jesus’ example. Your kids will learn from yours. The more you act like a servant - to your spouse, your kids, and even strangers - the more your children will do the same!

Lesson 03-04-2026

03/01/2026

NBKIDS parents be sure to join us this Sunday for service. This Sunday in NBKIDS at 9 and 11. Please make sure you talk to your kids about it afterwards! Make sure your kids attend!

New Beginnings Church ABQ 4770 Montgomery Blvd ABQ NM 87109. Below is some info on what we went over and the short video we watched to accompany our lesson. Watch with your kids and partner with us to teach your kids the Bible!

BOTTOM LINE: God can turn our doubt into faith.
OBJECTIVE: Kids will pray for God to give them stronger faith.
KEY PASSAGE: John 20:19-29, Thomas Doubts

IN THE CAR: Ask your child what they learned about this week on the drive home:
All of us have moments of doubt. We wonder if God is listening, if God cares, or if God
is even there. But it’s through these times of doubt our faith becomes stronger. With God’s help our doubt will be transformed to faith. John 20:19-29, Thomas Doubts

HANGING OUT: Make this week’s lesson real: Share some doubts you’ve had, about God or other things. How has God grown your faith through your doubts?

AT DINNER: Here are some great discussion starters:
- Why didn’t Thomas believe Jesus was alive?
- How did Jesus turn Thomas’s doubts into faith?
- What can we do when we feel doubts about God?

AT BEDTIME: Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse:
“Faith is being sure of what we hope for. It is being sure of what we do not see.”
Hebrews 11:1 (NIRV)

PARENT TIME: What you need to know: Doubt is not a bad thing. Doubt can lead us to a deeper faith, forcing us to ask tough questions and seek God on a deeper level. If you’re having doubts about God, take them to God in prayer. Pray that your kids will also have the desire to take their doubts to God so their faith can grow.
